ABSTRACT

To what extent does the means of setting up work influence the culture of the workplace? To the best of my belief that question has never been adequately addressed before. The significance of an answer in the affirmative to the question posed is that it would provide a new opening: an appropriate strategy could help in the development of a dynamic culture at the workplace. As it is, most executives who show interest in culture treat it as some fixed pattern of social traits beyond the reach of influence. Here culture is considered to present an often unwelcome challenge to which some response must be found.
