ABSTRACT
"I never went to school for this. I just picked things up as I went along. There is nothing wrong with looking and listening, but a solid foundation is just as and even more important. I guess, violating the 'this is the way it is' rules stirred things up. For the most part, the newer lighting designers were stretching the limits as well. I just became the focus of attention."
