ABSTRACT

For many IT managers, organizational life is a bizarre game. Normal, healthy, well-rounded human beings leave their personalities at the door as they enter their offices, and start to act out the role of ‘manager'. It is not uncommon for many IT managers to openly admit that they are ‘very different’ at home and at work. It is part of the fabric of modern corporate life, it seems, that a managerial ‘role’ at work can be almost diametrically opposed to the ‘self at home.
