ABSTRACT

For television shows that shoot on film, the editing process and flow remain the same as for a video originated show, but there are considerations when editing television for film-based, dual finish shows. Dual finish refers to generating both a video rate EDL and a film negative cut list. Television shows that shoot film do so for various reasons: to ensure that the production has the look of film and to allow easy transfer of original material to other video standards such as PAL or HDTV.
