Quality Plans are used to record the quality requirements for a particular contract, product or service and to monitor and assess adherence to those requirements.
You may already have quality controls for your normal products or services, but what do you do if someone wants something different? You could simply apply your existing quality controls, but it is unlikely that they will cover all eventualities. What you need is a Quality Plan to address the specific requirements of that particular contract.
