ABSTRACT

Whether your business is a small, community-based operation or a unit of a much larger company, the local Chamber of Commerce can be an excellent resource. The central goal of a Chamber of Commerce is to make the community in which you and your employees live and work a better place. Many of these organizations stay abreast of economic development by conducting studies on housing, retail, industry, and entertainment. In addition, Chambers of Commerce usually maintain a council on small business that actively supports small businesses and provides them with key tools for growth. These features may include seminars, insurance, loan programs, or an information hotline.
