ABSTRACT
For communication to be effective, there must be a completed cycle. That is, the sender must transmit information to the targeted audience, and the audience must confirm reception and comprehension of the message. Without a process to ensure clarification and verification, there is monologue rather than dialogue. Dialogue is an interaction between individuals with the goal of reaching a shared meaning.
