ABSTRACT

Effective managers quickly learn that quality communication is crucial to achieving company objectives. Quality communication will lead to positive interactions between workers and will indicate that the company respects the individual and appreciates the value and contributions of its employees. Try providing your employees with basic exercises in quality communication. For example, on Mondays they can only engage in behaviors that are productive for the business. On Tuesdays, when employees are engaged in conversation, they should allow the other person to complete his or her full thought before responding. On Wednesdays, employees will practice rephrasing the information just heard to assure that effective communication has taken place.
