ABSTRACT

Does the company have enough cash on hand to pay the bills? This is one of the most critical bits of financial information for a company, and it is depicted in the cash flow financial statement. Cash is the lifeblood for any company, and knowing where and when the money is coming in and going out is necessary for survival. This information comes from two other financial statements, the balance sheet (see tip #304) and the income statement (see tip #305). Cash flow from the company's assets must equal the cash flow to the creditors and investors.
