ABSTRACT

Organizations, especially larger companies with significant numbers of employees, typically have several layers of management arranged hierarchically. Even when it functions well, this kind of complex organizational structure often distances employees from upper-level management. What is your relationship with executive management in your company? Are these top managers accessible? Are you able to communicate with them relatively easily? While each organization's culture establishes the nature of such interactions, it is not uncommon to find that a large gap exists between upper management and the rest of the staff.
