ABSTRACT
A computer is more than just a sophisticated calculator—it is a system of interrelated components that input, process, output, control, and store information. The earliest computers were large, extremely expensive mainframes. With time, the price and size of computers has decreased dramatically and now personal computers, or PCs, can perform all the functions of their larger predecessors.
