ABSTRACT
In the late 1920s and early 1930s, Dr. Elton Mayo conducted behavioral studies at the Hawthorne Works Plant of the Western Electric Company in Cicero, Illinois. His research led him to draw numerous conclusions regarding employee performance, productivity, and motivation.
