As I listen to this conversation, I am packing up my laptop, uncoupling the connection to the projector, and winding the power cord around the power adapter. The group of managers who invited me to come and make the presentation is standing no more than fifteen feet away from me and discussing among themselves the presentation that they had just seen, comparing it to a presentation that they
themselves are preparing on a similar topic. "What was it," they are asking, "that gave the presentation its impact?"
