ABSTRACT
In the exploration or analysis of what makes a good SM there are three areas or levels of understanding to discuss. Each layer goes deeper into the individual:
1. The Practical Application. This is the outermost layer. This is the way in which the SM works and does things when on the job. On the surface, this means doing the paperwork. Just under the surface and beginning the joumey into the anatomy of an SM, practical application means being organized, disciplined, focused, and concentrated; having the ability to follow through on things; and working efficiently and effecti vel y.
