ABSTRACT
Evidently all the problems associated with vertical integration and discussed in the previous chapter have not been missed by those companies suffering from them. As a result, in the last decade there has been a strong movement of vertical de-integration. Figure 4.1 shows the increase volume of sales per employee in the world's largest industrial companies.
