ABSTRACT

Whether it is done by computer, traditional or other mediums like claymation or puppets, quality feature animation is expensive. No expense can be spared if the fi nished fi lm is expected to compete at the box offi ce with the big live action Hollywood blockbusters. When audiences go to the theatre they expect ever-increasing cinematic experiences for their money. They are impressed with the technique for a moment, but then they expect a good story well told and visuals striking enough to merit not waiting to download it and watching it at home.
