ABSTRACT

Having developed a more systematic schedule for your own time, we’ll now move on to seeing how time management tools can be used for the benefit of your team.

Arrange a meeting of your team. Discuss and produce a list of tasks that need to be undertaken on a particular day, e.g. one day next week, or during a particular shift or time period. At the conclusion of the meeting each team member should have a detailed, individualized plan that shows:

■ the task itself, with brief description; ■ an identifier for each task; ■ estimated time to complete; ■ schedule of activity (refer to Tracy’s plan on p. 64); ■ the level of importance/urgency attached to each task.
