ABSTRACT

Once the process of training and development has taken place it is important to take some time and effort to establish whether it met the objectives that were set.

It is crucial to carry out this assessment and evaluation because the organization needs to know if the inputs worked. If they did work then the methods employed can be used again and the organization will continue its commitment to training and development with increased motivation in the future. If the results were not as successful as hoped for then it is also important to investigate why. Changes can then be made in the future to ensure that the desired results are achieved.
