ABSTRACT
Scales in quantitative analysis Variables can be measured using a number of different scales. These scales help to generate quantitative data for our analysis. Box 10.1 outlines the different types of scales and illustrates their use. The scales generate quantitative data, and these data can be coded and analysed through various statistical methods.
