ABSTRACT
This chapter offers an overview of the main legal considerations for the development of a hospitality project, starting with the concept of the ownership of property and the legal vehicle through which the development is to take place. Subsequently, consideration is given to the legal aspects of operating and maintaining the building. Finally, a case study is drawn from the real-life interaction between a professional legal team in private practice and the proposer (and an ultimate operator) of a development scheme.
