ABSTRACT

This chapter looks at the simplest concepts behind isolating change and the non-destructive editing work flow, including the purpose and use of Adjustment layers, and the idea of isolating objects and areas within images in the simplest form. The ability to create the isolation and execute it in a controlled way can give the people ultimate control over image composition. Object isolation may not be something the people will do every day, but the basic concept of isolation is something they may use all the time-actually they used a variation at the very end of the section on Healing corrections by isolating the edge area. A valuable thing to do with the information in the chapter is to begin applying the changes to the people own images.
