Super telephotos range from 300 to 600 mm. Lenses in these focal lengths are usually fixed focal lengths. Common focal lengths are 300, 400, 500, and 600 mm. There are some zooms that reach into this range, but not many. You can use these lenses in the same manner as shorter telephotos — isolating parts of a landscape and capturing close shots of far away subjects. Super tele photos will compress the elements and depth in a photograph even more than regular telephotos.
