Some organizations use formal briefing groups, or ‘tool box talks’, to help put the message across. You should take full advantage of such formal structures, but never treat them as a substitute for regular, day-to-day communications on key issues with all members of your team. These issues include: quality, performance targets, safety, hygiene and housekeeping.
