Asasummaryof the various concepts explained in theprevious chapters,andasanintroductionto thedescriptionofan integratedreceiver decoder (IRD or more commonly set-top box), we will briefly and in simple terms review the various processing steps the TV signal has to follow from the source to the display on the end user’s screen.
