ABSTRACT
The Avid has a fantastic array of effects that will enable you to do things that, until a few years ago, only George Lucas’s Skywalker Ranch could manage. Because the Avid’s Effect Palette is so complete and far-reaching, I’ve divided our examination of effects into two chapters —the fi rst is for standard effects and the second for more complicated effects. Master this chapter before jumping into the deep end that is Chapter 14.
