ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on some of the ways photographers can help guarantee getting the best digital results from their camera. It examines how different ways of shooting and the choice of lens can affect sharpness. The chapter details some of the key benefits of using Camera Raw to carry out the initial image processing. Camera Raw is tactically employed to make mass adjustments accurately, quickly and efficiently while Photoshop is tactically employed on only a few select images that are truly worthy of the extra effort. When Camera Raw was introduced, one of the more controversial aspects of image quality was the Camera Raw default color rendering. In Camera Raw there are several ways photographers can check that the important highlight information is preserved. One way is to click the highlight clipping warning in the Camera Raw histogram. Graphic designers may sometimes use a clipping path to create the cut-out.
