If a building project is to progress smoothly, and to programme, it is vital that everyone involved knows exactly what they have to do and when it has to be done. The architect and architectural technologist have a special responsibility for much of the documentation for this decision-making process. In practice it involves use of written material such as letters, briefing checklists, general checklists, forms, and agendas of meetings.
