Th e scope of development control was set out in Cha pters 2 and 3; in Cha pter 4 certain development for which planning permission is automatically granted was outlined; this chapter considers the planning application for development that needs the express consent of the local planning authority
It is important to the applicant for planning permission that he uses the correct form, completes it satisfactorily, informs the parties entitled to be told of an application, and sends the form, appropriate certificates, plans and fee to the right authority. If he is successful thus far, he may be excused any impatience he may later experience in the processing of his application.
