ABSTRACT
Loran-C systems are still very much available
today as stand-alone en route navigation systems;
they are also being proposed as a complementary
navigation aid for global navigation satellite
systems. The principles of hyperbolic radio
navigation are described in this chapter together
with specific details for Loran-C. The
development of enhanced Loran (eLoran) is
discussed at the end of this chapter.
