ABSTRACT
This chapter examines the critical importance of sound financial manage-
ment in ensuring effective outcomes for sport organizations. Throughout the
chapter, incidents and cases will be used to illustrate both the theory
underpinning the financial management of sport organizations and the
practical things that should be done to sustain their financial viability.
