ABSTRACT

Illustrator is generally the first choice of any digital artist, designer, or illustrator for creating sharp vector graphics. However, let’s not forget about the myriad of vector tools and features in Photoshop. Even though they’re not as comprehensive as those provided by Illustrator, they are powerful and extremely useful. The trick is to know when to use each program and for what purpose. In some cases it is logical, and convenient, to create and edit basic vector shapes in Photoshop. However, in instances where 3D vector technology, symbols, or clipping masks are required, Illustrator is the tool you’re going to need to reach for.
