ABSTRACT
Photography has been used by artists since its inception, allowing the capture of transient scenes that may be difficult to capture through sketching or painting alone. The painter can then, using the photograph as reference, take the image to another level with their unique interpretation and style, adding multiple points of view and variations within the painting, and making use of the deep range of colors, tones, details, textures and contrasts offered by paint.
