67Writing for TV journalism is not restricted to language. Writing refers primarily to structure and the writer’s different tools. Words are only one tool. Pictures, NATURAL SOUND, editing tempo and the use of interviews are the other tools. Thus, we can say that TV journalists fall into two categories: word writers and audio-video writers. The best TV journalists are both.
