ABSTRACT
Among detractors of ordinary language philosophy it is widely agreed that no specimen of it is more worthy of repudiation than the ‘paradigm case argument’ (PCA). In their eyes it is a paradigm case of bad philosophy, and merely to identify an argument as an instance of it is enough to show that it is not worth further consideration.
