ABSTRACT
While human rights, health, and human development have emerged in the final decades of the twentieth century as significant international concerns, they have generally advanced on parallel and non-intersecting tracks. The purpose of this chapter is to explore their intersection and, in particular, the ways in which the theory and practice of human rights in development can advance health.
