ABSTRACT
The Baha’i religion and its precursor, the Babi religion, emerged from Shi’a Islam during the nineteenth century in Iran. It has its own divine founders, scriptures, institutions, practices, laws, principles, and calendar. Its followers number some six million worldwide.
