ABSTRACT
Multiple kinds of semantics have been proposed since scientists from various disciplines first tried to formalize the notion of ‘meaning’. These semantics compete with each other on the basis of different convictions about what needs to be accounted for in Natural Language. Ultimately, these differences amount to different presuppositions about the nature of ‘meaning’ itself.
