ABSTRACT

As must be obvious by now, there is a strong autobiographical strand throughout this book. Much of it is about shifts in my own thinking and practice that have occurred as a result of experience in the field, set against the many changes that have been going on in education systems in different parts of the world. What is reported here, therefore, should be seen as yet another interim report. All I can say is this is as far as I have got so far. In that sense the book provides a record of my ‘journey’ and a summary of at least some of what I feel that I have learnt. It is also an illustration of what I see as the central message, that of developing better understandings of moves towards inclusion through processes of what I have called collaborative inquiry.
