These are closely related to the above listed pronominal forms. In the first person plural, both dual and plural subject have inclusive and exclusive forms, the form er in t-, the latter in m-. All possessive forms are m arked with ta or to , plural aid , with reference to the possessive markers described in 6 above. Thus ta taua denotes singular a-category object belonging to us two; o ratou denotes a plurality of o-category objects belonging to them (several); o taua tamariki ‘our children’ (dual inclusive); a maua tamiriki ‘our children’ (dual exclusive).
