ABSTRACT

The ways in which performance assessment is carried out will vary from museum to museum depending on a number of factors, for example the nature of the work undertaken and staffing levels. In some cases, performance assessment may be on a daily basis with verbal reporting from staff to their managers; in others, written progress reports from staff to their managers might be made weekly or monthly. In addition to written reports, group or individual meetings may take place to discuss progress where specific projects are being developed or carried through.
