ABSTRACT
All these approaches reflect the ways in which museums are making their reserve collections more accessible to their different users. Museums always need to be able to justify the costs associated with managing and maintaining reserve collections. Increasing their public use in such ways can strengthen their case and clearly demonstrate the value of collecting and collections.
