ABSTRACT
The second responsibility of the museum’s director is to implement the governing body’s policy. Museums vary greatly in the amount of responsibility the director is given: what matters most is that everyone concerned is clear who is responsible for what. That is the fundamental purpose of the museum’s management planning, which is described in Units 80-1.
