ABSTRACT
I hate to open with a cliche but I think this year has been one huge, steep learning curve for me. I think I have learnt so much this year, and, at the risk of sounding corny, so much about myself. So doing this ‘research project’ into my teaching is probably a good way to get my thoughts down on paper… Even when I’m not officially researching my teaching I think that I’m still researching it on one level. Like most teachers (hopefully!), I’m always trying to think of the best way to present content to the students and assess what they have learnt. After I’ve presented it I then analyse the lesson. What worked? What didn’t? How can I improve on what I did? How will I do it differently next time?
