ABSTRACT

The assessment of any study entails at least two related tasks: the assessment of its contribution and the evaluation of its validity. The reliability and validity of the collected data have already been discussed in section 4.5. In this chapter, I shall first assess the contribution by presenting the major theoretical and practical implications of the study. I will then address the issue of validity by taking the whole research process and the different meanings of validity into account. At the end of the chapter some avenues for future research will be proposed.
