ABSTRACT

There were times when the mentioning of a fourth dimension elicited creepy associations with mystical forces. I hope that no such effects will be caused by the title of my paper. What I have to say are more or less commonplace statements. Neither can I offer any sensational news nor do I have solutions for all the problems I am going to touch. The problems refer to a branch of economics which-so it seems to me-does not look very satisfactory at the present time: I refer to the theory of wages.
