ABSTRACT
Sacadas (C7/6 bc) A musician and poet from Argos who composed for the pipes (aulos) and set his own elegiac poetry to tunes. He won three victories in competitions on the instrument at the Pythian Games at Delphi, and helped to revive musical performance at Sparta in the ceremony of the Gymnopaedia.
