ABSTRACT
T h i s field being one o f the most unstable parts o f the grammar due to continuous creat ion and change, we cannot offer more than a selection o f the most c o m m o n expressions i n Ca ta lan . (It is observed that interjections very frequently occur i n conjunct ion w i t h exclamations, which are covered i n 27.2.) W h e n one o f these expressions seems to be l imited to a given area we indicate Cen t r a l , Val(encia) or Balearic Islands) after it. Translations, where we supply them, are approximate. In many cases communicat ive equivalents, f rom wi th in the semantic area indicated by the heading, w i l l be determined by the context.
