ABSTRACT
It is often stated that the destruction of the New York World Trade Center on 11 September 2001 ended the neo-liberal era, meaning the termination of neo-liberalism as the dominant paradigm for the interpretation of the ends and means public policy. Since then, the number of articles and books stating the end of neo-liberalism has proliferated. And the call for government intervention as well as for deficit spending has been raised much more frequently, testifying to the new need for active government and state intervention in the economy.
