What personal use do teachers in your team make of information and communications technology? Do they strive to create worksheets illustrated with clip-art picture prompts, label displays, make banner headlines over children’s displays, create class lists for recording the collection of money, recording marks, do they use a database of contact addresses for the class or regularly write up their lesson plans by using a computer? Do teachers search the Internet for teaching materials? Does the school organise its reports or records of achievement by using IT, what about records of team games or keeping the score on sports day? Are standard letters to parents word processed so that they can easily be amended and used again, is the school on-line to the LEA for easy transfer of financial information? Do teachers know this?
