ABSTRACT
When one melodic thread weaves in and out against one (or more) other threads of
melody in counterpoint some of the most wonderful varieties of texture, of tension
and release can be created. Round singing provides an accessible way in to first singing
of independent vocal lines. A round is a circular song which is complete in itself if
sung in unison but will double up with itself in two or more parts.
